Responsibilities
Oversee mechanical engineering operations within the assigned region, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to firm standards
Lead and mentor regional mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance, feedback, and technical support
Coordinate with regional and firmwide leadership to ensure projects are staffed appropriately and delivered on time and within budget
Review and approve mechanical designs, specifications, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards
Foster collaboration across disciplines — particularly with electrical, structural, and architectural teams — to deliver fully integrated MEP solutions
Support project pursuits by assisting with technical narratives, scope development, and fee proposals
Contribute to the development and implementation of regional mechanical design standards, best practices, and procedures
Serve as a regional point of contact for quality assurance, technical reviews, and staff development
Report to the firm’s mechanical discipline leadership and coordinate closely with regional managing directors
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering or related design experience with an engineering consulting or AEC firm
A minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across different offices within the region
Preferred
Strong experience in Revit
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
Ability to interact with management, staff, external clients, organizations, and vendors
Must be quality minded and self motivated
