Responsibilities
Cost Reduction Projects (PUMA):): Conduct time-and-motion studies, gather process data, and use mathematical modeling to support decision-making. Identify, lead, and implement cost-saving initiatives across various functions, using data-driven analysis, time studies and engineering methods to optimize processes and reduce operational costs
Quality Improvement Projects: Drive First pass yield, establish & enforce quality control procedures and standards by developing standard work
Throughput Improvement: Develop, test, and implement integrated systems involving people, materials, information, and machinery to streamline operations. Evaluate existing workflows and processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop strategies and drive improvements to increase throughput and ensure more efficient use of resources
Lean Project Leadership: Lead and support the design and implementation of lean projects, including but not limited to value stream mapping, waste reduction, Kaizen events, implementing 5S programs, creating flow, sustaining standard work and continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and efficiency across production lines
OpsEdge Rollout: Support and lead the rollout of Siemens' OpsEdge (OPEX) Program across various departments. Ensure adherence to DMS practices for improved performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous monitoring of operational metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, logistics, and maintenance to implement & share best practices in manufacturing and operations processes
Data Analysis & Reporting: Create, build and use data analysis tools to assess operational performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports for management. Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and support in data streaming projects
Training & Development: Provide coaching and mentoring to staff in lean methodologies, process optimization, and daily management practices. Facilitate workshops and training sessions as needed
Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with Siemens' health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and compliant work environment & also assessing ergonomic safety design improvements
