They are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer who will lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems for complex manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating closely with clients.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems within manufacturing facilities, adhering to industry standards and regulations

Determine appropriate equipment sizes for efficient and effective operation of mechanical systems

Design systems involving air handling units, chemical and laminar fume hoods, unit heaters/coolers, and other HVAC components to maintain optimal environmental conditions

Engineer systems for water, chilled water, wastewater, cooling towers/condensers, boiler/steam or hot water, hydronic systems, compressed gases (air, O2, N2, CO2), waste/drain, and other plumbing systems

Ensure that all mechanical designs meet local, state, and federal regulations and codes

Utilize industry-standard software including REVIT, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks for modeling, simulation, and design

Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical insights, and develop solutions that align with their goals

Follow and maintain quality control processes to ensure that mechanical designs meet the highest standards and client expectations

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into larger projects

Oversee mechanical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met

Required

A Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory

A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on designing mechanical systems for manufacturing facilities

Ability to complete mechanical system analysis, sizing, design, and report writing

Proven expertise in equipment sizing, HVAC systems, and various mechanical systems specific to manufacturing plants

In-depth knowledge of water, chilled water, wastewater, cooling towers/condensers, boiler/steam or hot water systems, hydronic systems, compressed gases (air, O2, N2, CO2), waste/drain, and other plumbing systems

Proficiency in industry-standard software, including REVIT, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and team members

Willingness to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company-sponsored meetings, training, industry-related seminars, forums, and conventions

Able to perform as a Mechanical Engineer and execute mechanical design on multi-discipline projects

BS degree Mechanical Engineering from an ABET school required

Preferably for Food, Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Life Science sector manufacturing clients
