Assistant Group Leader
BCNC is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the community. They are seeking an Assistant Group Leader to support educational and recreational programming for children ages 5-13, working collaboratively with professional staff to provide high-quality enrichment and care.

Responsibilities
Provide support for lesson plans
Assist the Group Leaders and Senior Group Leaders on implementation of educational, instructional, and recreational programming for children
Assist the Group Leaders and Senior Group Leaders in curriculum planning, creating or running the activity, and take on classroom management while the Group Leaders and Senior Group Leaders run the activity
Provide support to the Group Leaders and Senior Group Leaders to appropriately manage children’s behavior
Maintain program supplies and facilities
Prepare daily attendance, incident, accident reports, and evaluation forms as needed
Participate in meetings with parents and teachers as necessary
Attend regular staff meetings, professional development days, and program events
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 16 years old and have completed or be currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent program
Experience in supporting children's development in literacy and/or the arts
Maintains a positive and professional attitude in all interactions
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Experience working with people of different backgrounds and a high level of cultural competency is preferred
Professional working proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese is a plus
