DOTS Financial Analyst
The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide critical financial and analytical support to the University’s Department of Transportation Services. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing multi-year budgets and forecasts, and ensuring operational decisions are supported by sound financial analysis.

Identifying strategies for financial sustainability
Working across functional areas including parking, transit, fleet, and emerging mobility services to ensure operational decisions are supported by sound financial analysis and aligned with university policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Three (3) years of professional budget, finance, or accounting experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control practices
Knowledge of budget functions including preparation, balancing, and internal control
Skill in oral and written communication
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
Experience in higher education, public sector finance, transportation or logistics operations
Familiarity with Workday systems
Knowledge of auxiliary services budgeting or grant-funded projects
