Responsibilities
To manage the Legal team ensuring the implementation of the global legal strategy
To manage the budget of Legal Function balancing the use and deployment of internal and external legal resources
To provide legal guidance in relation to business topics
To manage compliance issues (e.g. anti- bribery laws, anti- corruption laws, privacy) related to legal entities owned or participated at Country Level
To manage Country litigations in coordination with Holding/Global and Local Business Lines/Global and Local Service Functions
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in the U.S
10 or more years of expertise in energy law for the development of renewable project, M&A, project financing, procurement contracts for the construction and operation of power plants, commercial contracts to sell and buy energy (Power Purchase Agreements)
Deep understanding of the commercial dynamics of the Energy business; an extensive experience in renewable business
A strong foundation in legal principles and knowledge across various areas of law, with a particular focus on corporate law, contract law, employment law, M&A, and regulatory
At least 5 years of experience in managing an in-house legal team in a multicultural business environment
Preferred
Knowledge of Spanish and/or Italian language will be considered a plus
