Responsibilities

Develop a new program development plan in coordination with the Retail P&C Vertical Strategy

Collect and examine existing books of business

Leverage AI and other tech platforms to gather outside market information

Complete program submissions

Work with carriers to develop new proprietary programs and negotiate delegated underwriting authority, exclusivity, and compensation arrangements

Build underwriting and service capability in the Programs team

Develop pricing models for primary and excess property and casualty products

Responsible for the development of coverage forms and product filing experience

Partner with Retail vertical and sales leaders to promote new programs and provide training to producers

Provide management oversight for specific programs

Responsible for profit and loss

Recommend authority levels for underwriting staff, amendments, and enhancements to programs

Underwrite complex assignments

Determine appropriate prices and develop rate tables, terms, and conditions

Work with internal partners to execute program strategy

Ensure underwriting profitability and compliance aligns with carrier and regulatory standards
