The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes, focusing on CNC programming, tool design, and drafting to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities
Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes for aluminum die casting product
Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutions to support machining and secondary operations
Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation using CAD software
Support new product launches by developing machining strategies, tooling concepts, and process documentation
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to improve quality, cycle time, and throughput
Collaborate with die casting, machining, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
Review part designs for manufacturability and recommend design or process improvements
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, setup sheets, and work instructions
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery
Work with vendors and suppliers on tooling fabrication, modifications, and repairs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in CNC programming (Vertical and/or Horizontal Milling)
Experience with tool design, fixture design, and machining processes
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for design and drafting (MasterCAM, Pro-Engineer Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerancing, and GD&T
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience working with aluminum material and/or die castings
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
