Sterling Engineering is seeking Electrical Test Technicians to test and troubleshoot medium- and low-voltage power distribution equipment on the manufacturing floor. The role involves performing electrical testing, interpreting schematics, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve test issues.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, and other tools
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
Document test data using standard software (Excel, Word, Modbus Poll, etc.)
Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve test issues
Maintain a clean, safe test area and follow electrical safety protocols (NFPA 70E, NEC)

Required

Experience testing electrical equipment in a manufacturing or military setting
Strong ability to read schematics and follow test procedures
Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment
Familiarity with 3-phase, AC/DC systems, and power distribution concepts
Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed

Preferred

Technical degree or military training in electronics/electrical systems
Experience with data center or mission-critical power equipment
