Axiom Space is collaborating with Astrolab, Inc. to develop a Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) for future Artemis missions. They are seeking a high-energy, experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) Thermal Engineer to support NASA’s LTV Services contract, focusing on thermal design and analysis for flight hardware.

Responsibilities

Working in a collaborative engineering team environment to produce crew interfaces thermal design
Performing thermal analyses of flight hardware and other systems
Writing analysis reports
Performing thermal desktop modeling, run system level models, and output results for multiple components
Performing computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling and analysis output
Preparing and presenting technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to stakeholders
Performing additional job duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution
10-15 years of experience in related field
Experience with Thermal Desktop or similar thermal analysis tool
Familiarity with implementation of NASA Standards, Federal Standards, and/or DOD Standards
Experience analyzing spaceflight hardware structures and mechanisms
Passion for space and the mission
