Inventory Analyst

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for overseeing inventory management, material handling, and procurement support activities to ensure that parts and supplies are accurately stocked and readily available for customer operations.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the onsite storeroom, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely replenishment of materials
Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system, including receipts, issues, returns, and cycle counts
Coordinate with supply chain teams to forecast material needs and prevent stockouts
Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials in accordance with company and customer standards
Implement and sustain best practices in inventory control, safety, and housekeeping
Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventories to ensure data accuracy
Monitor usage trends, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommend adjustments to stock levels
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customer personnel and supply chain team
Ensure compliance with all site safety policies and environmental regulations
Provide reporting on inventory metrics, stock accuracy, and performance KPIs

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of experience in inventory management, storeroom operations, or supply chain/logistics
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment (forklift certification a plus)
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Working effectively with others in a team-based approach to process improvements
Creative problem solving to overcome obstacles in pursuit of desired results
Demonstrate project management capabilities

Effective written and verbal communication
Proficiency with inventory management or ERP systems
Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system, including receipts, issues, returns, and cycle counts

Preferred

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of QAD preferred
Experience working within a customer's facility or in an MRO/industrial environment preferred
