Financial Analyst II (ASG IV - Galveston)

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Financial Analyst II to perform financial and operational analysis activities. This role involves providing comprehensive financial, analytical, and operational support for ASG IV and the Departments of OB/Gyn and Pediatrics, along with collaborating with leadership to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

Coordinates, prepares, and analyzes financial and operational reports, financial statements, scorecards, metrics, benchmarks, budgets, and financial forecasts as assigned
Develops, implements, and manages budgets
Efficiently retrieves, compiles, and analyzes financial data and statistical information
Assists in preparing information to identify trends that inform forecasts and support management decision making
Analyzes historical and projected financial and operational data to provide leadership with actionable insights for financial decision-making
Produces ad hoc reports and analyses as needed
Supports account reconciliation, variance analysis, and forecasting processes
Oversees and leads the annual sub-certification process
Manages and reports on the RWSP grant
Monitors and manages accounts, including income and expenses, across E&G, MSRDP, Other Designated, Restricted, and Agency fund groups, ensuring compliance with budgets, policies, procedures, and donative instruments
Contributes to the strategic vision and goals of ASG IV and departmental leadership
Performs additional duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent in related field
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
