Water Engineering Manager

The WTR Engineering Manager will oversee engineering aspects of WTR Treatment on site, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while managing multiple teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Leadership and participation in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance
Capital and capacity project oversight, including participating in the design and selection of equipment and options for large scale industrial electrical distribution
Drive improvements in equipment and part management, employing lean principles effectively
Serve as an ideal representative of the department and site to external groups and agencies
Support operations teams responsible for monitoring the site and responding to FMCS alarms
Support maintenance teams responsible for equipment planned and unplanned maintenance
Ensure compliance to local, state, and national codes and compliance requirements
Develop and manage annual expense budgets
Support commercial negotiations and establishment of terms related to services and projects
Lead the development of safety and quality projects to improve performance and reliability of electrical equipment
Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction
Lead engineering and contractor/vendor forums to maintain a collaborative culture of proactive safety actions and protocols
Drive increasing knowledge and competencies of employees to support safety innovation
Establish and reinforce site and team goals
Drive improvement through vision and effective resource management and prioritization
Anticipate future needs and guide the organization towards effective strategies
Advance and support Facilities strategies and initiatives for improved safety, reliability, and performance
Provide innovative and forward-thinking to drive industry-leading strategies
Provide effective representation of the department and the site for commercial and strategic considerations with current and prospective vendors and contractors
Collaborate and drive understanding and strategy with all Samsung fabs globally (Korea, China)
Ensure all operations, maintenance, training, and documentation meet standards of OSHA and local agencies
Partner and collaborate with the site Environmental Health & Safety department to maintain robust safety operations
Lead a culture of learning and self-improvement
Sponsor and promote programs and a business

Required

Has deep knowledge on one job area or broad knowledge on several job areas (as related to Ultrapure Water and Waste Water)
Ability to enhance or Improve methods or procedures and provide coaching to team members to ensure successful outcome
Typically requires at least 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering)
