They are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BIM/CAD Technician to support field operations by creating, modifying, and preparing CAD and BIM models for construction layout.

Real Estate

Responsibilities

CAD & BIM Drafting: Create, edit, and manipulate 2D and 3D CAD files for construction layout, site preparation, and coordination
Surface Model Preparation: Develop and refine surface models for GPS-guided equipment
Data Conversion & Integration: Convert design files (DWG, DXF, LandXML, PDF, RVT, etc.) for field equipment compatibility
Field Support: Work with field crews to troubleshoot and optimize digital layouts using robotic total stations and GPS systems
Quality Control: Validate model accuracy against contract drawings, survey data, and project specifications
Coordination: Integrate BIM/CAD models with construction schedules, clash detection, and site logistics
Technology Optimization: Stay updated on new BIM/CAD technologies to enhance workflow and accuracy

Qualification

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software
Experience with construction layout technology (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica)
Familiarity with coordinate systems and digital terrain models
Ability to troubleshoot and support field personnel with digital layouts
Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Interest in growing with BIM and construction technology
