The Project Accountant will assist the Finance and Accounting Department by providing accurate project reports and managing financial operations from project initiation to close out.

Responsibilities
Oversee project setup completion in the ERP system to ensure seamless financial operations throughout each project
Generate timely bi-weekly and retainage billings
Assist in monthly financial projections to ensure alignment with project goals
Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations based on findings
Review and enter change management events for the project team
Review and analyze job cost reports with Project Managers to ensure accurate cost coding and profitability tracking
Assist in developing standardized project accounting procedures as the company scales to new facilities and markets
Create and monitor project purchase orders and subcontracts
Communicate and coordinate with all internal and external project stakeholders, including owners, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and operational divisions
Complete other accounting-related duties, create ad hoc reports, and assist with special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
5-10 years of proven working experience as a Project Accountant
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and its formulas
Familiarity with GAAP
Strong time management and organizational skills
Beginning leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Preferred
Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum ERP is a plus
Exposure to SQL databases and report generation is a plus
Previous experience in auditing is a plus
