Responsibilities
Manage complex appellate and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft, edit, and finalize appellate briefs, motions, pleadings, and memoranda of law
Research, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and case law
Develop strategic legal arguments and provide insight and recommendations to clients and colleagues
Handle appellate calendars, manage critical deadlines, and ensure timely filings
Represent clients before New York trial and appellate courts in oral arguments, hearings, and related proceedings
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistency in litigation strategy and client representation
Contribute to the firm’s culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and professional growth
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in New York (in good standing)
Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience, including appellate or motion practice
Demonstrated knowledge of civil and appellate procedure
Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Ability to manage complex caseloads and strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence
