Process Engineering Intern
Albany International Corp. is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support their LEAP Process Engineering team in enhancing production processes for composite aerospace components. The intern will collect and analyze process data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and assist in preparing process documentation for continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
Assist the Global Process Engineer and the Injection Engineering Team with projects to improve the production process of composite LEAP Aerospace Components
Collect and analyze key process data with the goal of providing recommendations to the engineering team for future improvements
Work with cross functional teams from the USA, France, and Mexico to understand process requirements and ensure projects and recommendations will be successful in all LEAP facilities
Support the preparation & modifications of process and customer related documentation (Work instructions, Risk Registers, Process Software Files) for related projects
Data Analysis: Assisting in the collection and analysis of process data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Process Documentation: Helping to document existing processes, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
Testing and Experimentation: Participating in process testing or experiments to evaluate new materials, techniques, or equipment
Problem-Solving: Assisting in troubleshooting production issues and developing solutions under the guidance of senior engineers
Quality Control Support: Supporting quality assurance efforts by conducting inspections and assisting with quality audits
Continuous Improvement Projects: Collaborating on projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, or improving product quality
Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations on findings and recommendations
Attendance is mandatory to ensure effective team collaboration and productivity
Qualification
Required
Completed at least two years (three years preferred) toward a BS in Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 (3.5 preferred) or more (preferred Aerospace, Composites, Mechanical or equivalent)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft software (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel) to enable the creation of work instruction and other production documentation
Capability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, with a basic understanding
Demonstrated experience with CAD software a plus (SolidWorks, AutoCad, etc.)
Team and people skills that are required to ensure efficient execution of tasks
