Sales Producer, Commercial Lines

They are seeking a Commercial Lines Producer to develop new business relationships and insurance solutions for clients in the Ohio market, focusing on driving new business development and maintaining client relations.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop insurance prospects
Prequalify insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk
Use lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments
Meet with prospective clients and existing clients
Maintain knowledge of carrier and wholesaler needs and make recommendations to Account Executive during the submission process
Design insurance programs and recommend coverages to clients based on risk characteristics
Submit complete and accurate applications and related submission documentation to Account Executive
Meet new business production goals and objectives as determined
Must conduct phone prospecting, face-to-face prospecting and through social media efforts
Conduct sales presentation to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business
Explain coverage and exclusions to clients and document explanations in agency management system
Educate clients on agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures
Provide claim assistance to clients
Contact clients for collection of past due premiums, as needed
Develop, maintain, and manage a book of business for additional business and referrals
Solicit referrals from clients
Review existing accounts/policies at least annually to round out accounts and address any changes

Qualification

Ohio Property & Casualty licenseSales experienceErrors & Omissions insuranceEPIC system knowledgeMicrosoft Office SuiteAnalytical skillsClient relationsPresentation skills

Required

A valid Ohio Property & Casualty license is required
3-5 years of experience in sales
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required
Maintain Errors & Omissions insurance
Meet state continuing education requirements
Knowledge of EPIC system a plus
Ability to work well under deadlines in changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
Excellent presentation skills
Reliable transportation to meet with prospective and existing clients
Above average analytical skills to determine prospective client needs
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
5-7 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
