Responsibilities
Review monthly financials for accuracy and complete variance analysis on direct and indirect revenue, costs, and profit
Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the project structure, cost accruals, billings, and financial reporting
Responsible for project setups and able to understand requirements of a government contract
Provide assistance on pricing existing and new opportunities
Ensure invoices are billed in accordance with contract requirements and reconciles billings for each CLIN as required
Analyze actual costs and understand if improper cost allocations have occurred on assigned projects; assist in correcting as needed
Maintain project tracking spreadsheets to record actuals and forecast
Analyze, understand, and report on assigned unbilled balances when needed
Prepare monthly project accruals, acting as liaison between accounting personnel and Project Managers to ensure all monthly expenses are accounted for
Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all assigned projects related financial information
Review, code, and submit supplier invoices and voucher corrections to Accounts Payable, as needed
Assist Project Managers in preparation of CDRLs
Prepare quarterly Contract Access Fee and/or Industrial Funding Fee reporting
Prepare price adjustments for newly incorporated wage determinations
Review of contract funding levels for contract-required limitation of funds notifications
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship
BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience required
Five years of project control experience
Deltek CostPoint Project Control Experience is required
Must be detail oriented and able to work within specified deadlines
Strong personal computer skills, including detailed working knowledge of Excel capabilities
Strong written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requirements
Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
Clear ability to take ownership of issues and pursue potential resolutions through to completion
Able to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with FAR and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
Understanding of revenue recognition concepts preferred
