Responsibilities
Ensure clear and comprehensive designs that comply with current technical standards and regulations
Performs design work
Prepares portions of project documents
Edits specifications
Performs research and investigations
Assists with structural engineering on projects of all sizes
Ensure efficiency, profitability, and on-time delivery of projects leading to high levels of client satisfaction
Prepares for and participates in project meetings
Works on multiple projects concurrently
Keep projects up to date in Ajera to ensure clients are invoiced accurately and SSE is paid in a timely manner
Ensure documents and emails are filed appropriately
Accurately record and submit time for each project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
0-4 years of related experience
Passion for structural engineering, innovation, and design
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and commitment to success of both team members and clients
Proficient use of the English language, both verbal and written, and adaptable to all audiences
Physically able to conduct field inspection and testing as assigned
Maintain a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
Internship completed with focus in structural engineering
Professional Activities: Member of professional organization
Community Activities: Involved in local outreach activities, university engineering clubs, etc
