Oracle Database Administrator & Developer

They are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator & Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications for government clients, ensuring compliance and performance standards within a secure environment.

Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades)
Monitor performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensure high availability and security
Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard
Plan and execute data migration from Oracle to Pega applications
Collaborate with Pega architects and developers to ensure smooth integration
Validate data integrity and performance post-migration
Write and optimize PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers
Support application teams with database-related development tasks
Assist in building automation scripts for deployment and testing
Work closely with DevOps, QA, and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines
Document processes, configurations, and migration steps
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship required by the government client
Candidates must obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S
Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years
Highschool degree with at least 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
Docker experience and/or an understanding of containerization
Preferred
Strong knowledge of Oracle ecosystem (Oracle 12c/19c, RAC, ASM, RMAN)
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL development
Experience with Pega migration or integration projects
Familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting
Understanding data modeling and ETL processes
Experience with Pega PRPC platform
Knowledge of Java or other programming languages for integration tasks
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
Previous experience in a government contracting environment
