Senior Director and Instructor of CHER Academic Programs
Trinity College is seeking a Senior Director and Instructor of CHER Academic Programs to lead community learning initiatives and contribute to community-engaged scholarship. This full-time role involves teaching, developing partnerships, and overseeing academic programs aligned with the institution's mission of engagement with the Hartford community.

Responsibilities
Lead Community Learning programs and the Liberal Arts Action Lab (LAAL)
Contribute to institutional leadership in community-engaged scholarship and pedagogy
Teach two courses per academic year, including one summer course (Public Humanities Collaborative)
Develop and maintain partnerships with Hartford
Co-develop agendas and strategies with the Executive Director
Convene faculty advisory boards
Provide community learning course support
Implement best practices in community engagement aligned with the Carnegie Classification
Oversee CHER communications and promote its academic work on and off campus
Plan and manage courses and summer programs (Community Action Gateway, Community Learning Research Fellows, Public Humanities Collaborative)
Support the Director of the LAAL in planning, evaluation, faculty recruitment, partnership with CT State Community College Capital, and coordination with the Hartford Resident Advisory Board
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. degree preferred
Area of Expertise: Higher Education Administration; Community Engagement; Public Policy and Administration
Demonstrated experience in academic community engagement, civic learning, or public scholarship
Proven record of program leadership and strategic planning in a higher education setting
Commitment to equity-centered community partnerships and liberal arts education
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience teaching community-engaged courses preferred
