Responsibilities

Develop and execute data analytics strategies to drive business outcomes and inform strategic decision-making

Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists in designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining data analytics solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers, to identify business needs, create clear problem definitions, and develop data-driven solutions

Lead a team to design and implement data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders

Develop and maintain relationships with data stakeholders, including data providers, data consumers, and external partners

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and make recommendations for adoption

Manage and optimize data analytics workflows, including data ingestion, processing, and storage

Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with organizational data policies and procedures

Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential and advance in their careers

Manage projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

Foster a culture of transparency, ensuring that all team members have visibility into project goals, objectives, and outcomes

Promote accountability, holding team members responsible for their actions and decisions

Ensure that all development activities are properly documented and archived, upholding the principle of posterity

Cultivating creative problem-solving skills, promoting experimentation, and exploring novel approaches to address complex challenges

Required

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

Experience: 6+ years of data analytics, data science, or related field

Proven experience in leading a team of data analysts and data scientists

Strong technical skills in data analysis, data visualization, and data storytelling

Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript

Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, data security, and data literacy

Preferred

Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing

Certification in data analytics, data science, or related field (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, Certified Analytics Professional)

Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high-performance results

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
