The Supervisor for the Sterile Processing Department will oversee the preparation, performance, and post-operative support to surgical teams, ensuring the smooth functioning of clinical operations and compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care
Focus on the preparation, performance, and post-operative support to surgical teams
Responsibilities include sterilization, instrument preparation and handling, and operational or hands-on support required during surgery
Supervises support level employees
Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area
Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher-level managers
Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports

Qualification

Surgical services experienceLeadership experienceHealthcare certificationsAttention to detailCommunication skills

Required

High School Graduate or Equivalent required
3 years progressive leadership experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Specific certifications and licensures required

Preferred

Associate's Degree Preferred
3 years' direct experience working within surgical services in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting preferred
