Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers, providing regular feedback, coaching, and career development guidance

Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and goal-setting sessions

Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle—from design and development to deployment and maintenance

Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and QA to ensure timely and successful delivery of software releases

Prioritize projects, allocate resources effectively, and manage competing demands across the team

Ensure technical decisions align with business objectives and long-term architecture goals

Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and architecture oversight as needed

Champion engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, automation, and CI/CD

Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and workflows

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to guide technical direction

Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

Represent the engineering team in planning sessions, roadmap discussions, and strategic initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

7+ years of professional software development experience

2+ years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams

Proven ability to lead teams through complex technical projects from inception to delivery

Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including delivery frameworks, DevOps, and cloud-based architectures

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred

Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams

Hands-on experience with C#, Java, SQL, Event-driven Architecture, and cloud services

Prior experience in a fast-paced, product-focused environment

Knowledge of retail and distribution business processes
