The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, managing supplier relationships, proposing cost savings projects, and ensuring quality in procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for proposing cost savings projects and delivering annual cost extraction target (example 3% of spend)

Evaluate new and existing suppliers for all purchases assigned

Responsible for supplier reduction target direct and indirect suppliers

Responsible for process improvements events in respective area

Responsible for interpreting specifications and drawings provided by engineering and be able to provide quotations and sources for products needed according to project timelines

Responsible for recommending alternatives to products specified by Engineering and sales

Responsible for analyzing costs for purchased products for Direct Material existing and New Product

Assemble facts and data in order to make an informed decision on departmental issues related to pricing, delivery, and quality

Responsible for tracking quality issues related to suppliers

Responsible for handling day to day issues related to Material existing and New Product

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Or Black Belt
