Responsibilities
Reviews and revises creative materials for compliance with license agreements, and state and federal laws; implements and applies marketing principles based on FTC Act and federal and state marketing/advertising laws and regulations
Assists attorneys in reviewing intellectual property usage for compliance with licenses, government regulations, and marketing guidelines, and maintains intellectual property records
Assists attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and revising boilerplate production and promotions agreements and sweepstakes/contest rules, and drafting marketing services scopes
Conducts legal research
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree is required - Paralegal Certificate (Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university acceptable in lieu of a Paralegal Certificate)
2+ years corporate legal or law firm experience required; 3+ years preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Bachelor's degree is preferred - B.A. in Legal Studies or a related field
