Responsibilities

Develop routine structural design calculations for traffic, lighting, and flag poles utilizing the AASHTO, AISC, IBC, and ASCE 7 codes
Actively improve the design process by identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
Present process improvement recommendations and initiatives to Sr. Engineers and other affected groups
Improve documentation and organization of engineering designs and specifications
Engage with manufacturing to improve knowledge of the final design
Update engineering documents with changes in specifications, processes, procedures, and design manuals
Troubleshoot potential design errors and provide resolution recommendations

Qualification

Required

Rising junior or senior currently pursuing a degree in Civil or Structural engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
Completion of Statics and Dynamics coursework
Proficiency with CAD applications, including the ability to convert drawings to 3D models
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated critical thinking and attention to detail

Preferred

Coursework or experience in Structural Analysis, Steel Design, and Strength of Materials
Advanced CAD skills and design application experience
