Executive Director, Partnerships

They are seeking an Executive Director, Partnerships to lead the partnership strategy, drive alignment across various initiatives, and manage strategic relationships with key partners in the media and digital landscape.

Responsibilities
Define and lead the organization’s overarching partnership strategy to advance growth, innovation, and audience reach
Identify, evaluate, and structure strategic partnerships that align with enterprise objectives and deliver measurable business impact
Build and strengthen relationships with MVPDs, OTT platforms, content programmers, and digital distribution partners
Lead negotiations for licensing, distribution, and long-term collaboration agreements, ensuring mutual value creation
Oversee the governance and performance of existing partnerships, including renewals, contract management, and partner satisfaction
Develop scalable frameworks and playbooks for evaluating, onboarding, and managing key partners
Partner with executive leadership to assess white-space opportunities and define partnership priorities across business lines
Oversee performance of the partnership portfolio to ensure strategic and financial objectives are met
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive partner integration success across content, product, and marketing initiatives
Establish and track KPIs, financial models, and ROI metrics to evaluate partnership effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities
Anticipate shifts in the media and technology landscape, evolving partnership approaches to maintain competitive advantage
Provide strategic input into pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies that support partnership objectives
Drive carriage and affiliate deals that optimize revenue and enhance brand visibility
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations on emerging partnership trends and opportunities
Translate high-level partnership goals into actionable operational plans across internal teams
Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and executional excellence
Present partnership performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Advise leadership on evolving industry dynamics in content distribution, streaming, and digital media
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies that inform partnership strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Media, Communications, or related field required
10+ years of experience in partnerships, distribution within media, entertainment, or digital industries
Demonstrated track record of activating and growing network to drive strategic partnerships and business growth
Proven success in negotiating complex, high-value contracts and managing P&L accountability
Strong understanding of media distribution ecosystems, including MVPD, OTT, and digital platforms
Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead through change and scale emerging business opportunities
A proven record of transforming strategic partnerships into sustainable revenue growth
Experience launching and scaling businesses or new product lines
A data-informed approach to decision-making and performance optimization
Preferred
MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred
