Responsibilities

Design and develop highly sophisticated and technical training solutions
Conduct thorough data gathering, analysis, and development of measurable learning objectives
Direct the training design and work closely with content developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Produce deliverables that include Project Schedules, Needs Assessment Reports, Design Plan Documents, Course Outlines, Storyboards, Instructor Guides, Student Guides, Video Scripts, Style Guides, and supporting Resources and Job Aids
Use a variety of technologies, techniques, and tools to support the creation of learning solutions
Develop flow diagrams, storyboards, and other materials to assist in designing instructionally sound, complex learning solutions
Test and provide Quality Assurance methodologies for learning objects
Observe and participate in existing courses and provide recommendations for course improvements
Provide task leadership, manage workflows, oversee junior designers, and develop realistic time estimates and schedules for designing and delivering learning objects and course materials

Required

Knowledge of the latest evidence-based training methods for complex learning (e.g., inductive teaching and learning models)
Knowledge of and experience applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) Instructional Systems Design model
Experience conducting thorough data gathering, analysis, and development of measurable learning objectives mapped to Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) and/or Job Qualification Standards (JQS)
Ability to direct the training design and work closely with content developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Ability to clarify complex concepts, ensure accuracy of content, and develop instructionally sound training solutions
Ability to work closely with graphic artists and multi-media developers in designing and developing templates, graphics, animations, videos, and other training solutions
Responsible for producing deliverables that include but are not limited to: Project Schedules, Needs Assessment Reports, Design Plan Documents, Course Outlines, Storyboards, Instructor Guides, Student Guides, Video Scripts, Style Guides, and supporting Resources and Job Aids
Use a variety of technologies, techniques, and tools that include but are not limited to: XML, HTML, Confluence, Microsoft Office, Audacity, Camtasia Studio 8, Adobe Captivate, and custom solutions
Familiarity with a variety of learning management system (LMS) applications used in government and commercial spaces
Strong written and oral communication skills
Extensive knowledge of adult learning methods including demonstrated experience applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with Captivate or similar training development tools
Experience applying various methods to conduct analyses of training requirements
Ability to design, develop, and revise complex interactive eLearning, and/or instructor-led courseware of a technical nature for customer training
Demonstrates proficiency in identifying the appropriate training delivery method for the subject matter, audience, available resources, schedule, and other customer-driven requirements
Ability to develop flow diagrams, storyboards, and other materials to assist in designing instructionally sound, complex learning solutions using a variety of delivery methods
Ability to work closely with SMEs to gather content, create realistic scenarios and activities, and ensure technical accuracy of instructional content
Ability to test and provide Quality Assurance methodologies for learning objects
Ability to develop and edit supporting documentation for the overall design, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of learning solutions
Ability to observe and participate in existing courses and provide recommendations for course improvements
Ability to provide task leadership, manage workflows, oversee junior designers, and develop realistic time estimates and schedules for designing and delivering learning objects and course materials
Excellent communication, including speaking and writing, skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with other members of the team and prioritize tasks under strict deadlines
Well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements
Attendance is always critical
Ability to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday, with availability for overtime during critical peaks

Preferred

Experience working in the Intelligence community, cyber industry, or in a technical environment
