UPS Battery Maintenance Technician, DCC Communities
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking to hire a highly motivated UPS Battery Testing Technician to join their Operations Services team. This role is responsible for the preventative maintenance of UPS batteries in data centers, ensuring best in class availability for customers while collaborating with internal and external teams to address operational challenges.

Responsibilities
Apply preventative maintenance testing techniques in support of maintaining UPS batteries across our fleet of data centers
Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site
Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols
Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management on a daily basis
Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs
Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization
Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up
Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs
Provide support for LSE, weather events, planned, and unplanned outages
Provide cross functional support for ATS and Non-destructive testing teams
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
1+ year of experience in data center or mission-critical facility operations (e.g., hospitals, military installations, public safety facilities, manufacturing); OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics); OR trade school training/certification
Preferred
Proficiency in identifying safety concerns and maintaining a secure work environment in compliance with NFPA 70E guidelines
Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis
Basic scripting experience (Python)
