Responsibilities
Provide technical skills that cover a broad range of disciplines and technologies of significance to HCA Healthcare
Lead technical projects assigned with minimal supervision while managing customer impacting issues
Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare
Provide in depth technical review, engineering, administration, analysis, trending, and reporting of all supported configurations
Exhibit extraordinary analytical and design ability, high degree of creativity and in-depth knowledge of business implications for technical approaches, directions and solutions
Innovate in highly complex technical areas, be results driven with advanced project planning and coordination skills

Primary duties will include design, build and high-level administration of hardware and software solutions in a large and complex multi-platform environment while working within change management policies and approval chains, creating and presenting technical documentation, managing project deliverables and risk, solving complex problems, improving processes, coaching and guiding other personnel and collaborating with a wide range of customers and partners
Strategic planning, designing, building, and maintaining highly complex enterprise solutions on many different infrastructure technologies with a very strong engineering mindset
SME level knowledge and accountability for at least one specific technology across various stages of its lifecycle, backup for at least one other technology, and knowledgeable of all technologies supported by the team
Communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, other teams, end users, business owners and leaders to achieve quality outcomes that lead to success
A technical lead for projects, ensuring solution designs meet requirements and standards, while taking responsibility and proactively identifying risks to timeline, budget or technical requirements
Research and develop enterprise platform standards and policies including creation of procedural documentation, change tickets, diagrams and all other design specifications and guidance required for knowledge transfer and handoff to other personnel
Participate in personal development training to improve skills and technical knowledge
Create opportunities for core teams to learn best practices and new capabilities while fostering adoption of new technologies and standards
On Call rotation, responding to engagements from 1st level operations teams to provide production fixes and root cause analysis, collaborating with other technical teams as necessary
Provide Level 3 support for all production related problems and concerns as situations warrant
Actively identify opportunities to improve existing processes within the environment
Qualification
Required
5 or more years of experience
Experience supporting VMWare vSphere and Nutanix AHV server infrastructure computing solutions across platforms significant to HCA Healthcare in a large and complex environment
Demonstrated written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to learn and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Solid understanding and experience with both bare metal and virtualized server concepts and practical implementation of those fundamentals in a large-scale production environment, including performance and capacity metric analysis and advanced troubleshooting
Capable of working effectively under a high pressure and demanding work environment
Capable of working effectively in a diverse, virtual team oriented environment
Must be a self-starter and work effectively with minimal supervision
Must be customer-oriented and recognize the importance of customer service and meeting service level commitments
Must be committed to quality and timeliness of assigned deliverables and milestones
