Senior Financial Analyst
Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial planning, reporting, and analysis to inform strategic decision-making throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of financial strategies that align with organizational goals, including financial forecasting and the creation of financial models
Assist the Senior Director of Finance with financial analysis and strategic planning that supports new initiatives and ongoing processes
Manage the internal deployment of budget software to improve annual budgeting and effective change management. Work with the Senior Director of Finance, CFAO and Senior Controller & Budget Manager on the creation and analysis of the annual operating, capital maintenance, and various project budgets
Support Department Directors with ongoing budget monitoring and analysis to assess programmatic effectiveness and enable data-informed decision making
Research, identify, and communicate key variances related to financial and operational metrics
Support the development and maintenance of financial policies and systems for internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the organization
Work closely with the Senior Director of Finance to deploy and manage technology improvements that will support the automation and efficiency of the Financial Operations Division
Assist with administration of the insurance policy portfolio by coordinating annual renewal applications and updating various coverage schedules, as needed
Liaise with the Philanthropy Department to develop streamlined processes and ensure alignment of financial records
Provide back up to the Senior Director of Finance, as needed
Attend meetings and present financial analysis and other relevant information to various internal and external audiences
Represent the financial operations department on internal committees and task forces
Consult and maintain liaison with bankers, auditors, insurance brokers and other vendors and consultants, as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration and 3-5 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated financial analysis skills required
Ability to lead automation projects and support deployment of new software or similar initiatives
Ability to participate as a team member in decision-making processes and ability to provide creative input related to business and financial affairs
Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills required
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and managing large datasets
Knowledge of computer systems related to accounting and financial management required as well as strong skills in PowerPoint
Preferred
MBA, MPA, CPA or equivalent with emphasis on financial management preferred
