The Senior Test Engineer will support the Dynamics Lab team, conducting vibration and environmental testing programs, mentoring junior technicians, and improving lab practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct vibration/environmental testing programs for a variety of applications (automotive, aerospace, military, etc.)

Improve and develop best practices in the lab, including preventive maintenance

Mentor junior technicians

Capture test results through detailed datasheets and test reports

Follow established industry procedures as well as custom methods

Required

Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in a vibration lab preferred

Thorough understanding of concepts used in dynamics testing

Experience operating and maintaining electrodynamic shakers and controllers (Unholtz-Dickie, IMV, Vibration Research)

Familiarity with established procedures (MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160)

Experience with Temperature/Humidity chambers (CSZ, Thermotron, ESPEC)

Supervisory experience

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multitask and work in a growing environment

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Electrical Engineers with coursework relevant to dynamics)

Excellent organizational skills coupled with knowledge of Word and Excel

Must be able and willing to work in a small but growing team and wear many hats

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc...)

Excellent written and communication skills
