Responsibilities

Architect Levo’s core systems - from survey pipelines and escalation routing to candidate-matching intelligence and analytics infrastructure
Define technical standards for scalability, security, and data integrity (SOC 2, HIPAA)
Make foundational decisions on backend design, data models, and deployment environments
Use AI-assisted tooling (e.g., Devin, Copilot) to drive speed without compromising quality
Translate customer needs and pain points into clear product architecture
Partner with Jason (CEO) on prioritization and long-term roadmap tradeoffs
Balance velocity with robustness. Deliver features fast, but design for reliability at scale
Own key product outcomes: clinician retention, customer adoption, and uptime
Establish and evolve Levo’s engineering culture - from code review standards to how we handle outages and learn from experiments
Mentor and grow engineers; set expectations for communication, code quality, and ownership
Implement best-in-class developer experience: CI/CD, observability, testing, and feedback loops
Understand Levo’s architecture and codebase, from data ingestion to UI layers
Identify the 2-3 most critical technical leverage points (e.g., reliability, dev velocity, security)
Propose a 90-day technical roadmap focused on immediate scalability wins
Redesign or optimize one major system (e.g., escalation workflows, sentiment processing, recruiter dashboards)
Implement improved testing or deployment pipelines that increase team throughput
Join key customer calls to directly observe product use and shape priorities
Fully own technical direction for one vertical (Recruit, Retain, or Recognize)
Set the bar for technical excellence and cultural tone: speed, clarity, and accountability
Be a strategic counterpart to the CEO on architecture, hiring, and technical roadmap

Required

Deep experience across our stack: React, TypeScript, Go, Python, Twilio, Temporal, AWS, CI/CD pipelines
A builder at heart - comfortable owning both architecture and outcomes
A product thinker who sees engineering as leverage, not labor - can reason through tradeoffs and explain them to customers
Energized by ambiguity - you like shaping 0→1 systems, not maintaining legacy ones
Humble enough to learn from customers, confident enough to lead design debates
Motivated by impact. Your code directly helps healthcare organizations retain clinicians and improve patient care
