Responsibilities
Applying a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities in compiling data into intelligence reports in support of law enforcement programs and operations of DHS/CBP/OFO
Employing analytical tools including computerized graphics and spreadsheets in the development of reports
Developing and preparing finished intelligence reports and a variety of other written communications necessary for CBP and Office of Field Operations intelligence operations
Performs a wide range of functions at varying levels of difficulty and complexity to include intelligence collection management, creation of target folders, threat assessments and other in-depth studies

Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/18/2025
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as researching, reviewing, analyzing, or disseminating sensitive national security data or information; preparing reports from information that identifies tactical intelligence regarding possible terrorism trends or suspected activities; reviewing and recommending local policies and procedures to effectively collect and disseminate terrorism related intelligence and information; evaluating, preparing, and presenting detailed reports to supervisors, and making recommendations on program improvements and future operations

Background Investigation: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment
There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP
All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment
If you have never worked for the federal government, you are not CTAP eligible
