Responsibilities

Assist with restoration projects throughout Wisconsin
Possess or obtain a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License
Work entirely in the field under various weather conditions
Perform invasive species control via herbicide applications, cutting, hauling, mulching, fencing, shoveling, mowing, planting, seeding and plant identification
Load, operate, clean and maintain equipment such as herbicide sprayers, GPS units, ATVs, tractors, chainsaws, brushsaws and handtools
Complete daily worklogs accurately
Read and navigate using a map
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as necessary

Required

Possessing or having the ability to obtain a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License
Self-motivated and organized to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
Positive attitude and the ability to work as a team
Ability to work entirely in the field
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions that can be challenging
Ability to adapt to schedule changes upon short notice
Ability to apply herbicide safely and effectively
Ability to load, operate, clean and maintain equipment such as herbicide sprayers, GPS units, ATVs, tractors, chainsaws, brushsaws and handtools
Ability to accurately complete daily worklogs
Ability to read and navigate using a map
Good physical condition and ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Possess a valid driver's license
Capable of loading and driving trucks with trailers
Authorized to work in the United States
Pre-employment drug screen required

Preferred

Working toward or have already obtained a 2 or 4 year degree in a Natural Resources related field
Relevant job-related experience
