Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of our largest self-serve accounts, building deep, strategic relationships with technical and business stakeholders to drive adoption and retention
Serve as the primary technical advisor, diagnosing integration challenges, optimizing voice AI deployments, and guiding customers from pilot to production at scale
Collaborate closely with Product Engineers, Telephony Experts, and other engineering teams to resolve complex issues, prioritize feature requests, and deliver customized solutions that align with customer goals
Act as a subject-matter expert on Retell's voice AI platform, conducting technical workshops, demos, and proof-of-concepts to showcase value and enable self-serve success
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities through proactive account health monitoring, usage analytics, and strategic recommendations, contributing to ARR growth
Document best practices, create internal playbooks for technical account management, and mentor junior team members to scale our customer success capabilities

Qualification

Required

3+ years of experience in technical account management, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles — with hands-on familiarity in software development, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
3+ years in sales engineering or technical sales, and a strong track record of driving expansion from self-serve to enterprise, ideally at companies like Twilio, Dialogflow, Zoom, or Gong
Skilled at breaking down complex technical ideas for any audience, building trust through clear, consultative communication that drives alignment and results
Familiar with LLMs, voice synthesis, and conversational AI, and can confidently demo Retell's platform in creative, customer-relevant ways

Preferred

You've helped enterprise customers overcome complex challenges in fast-paced SaaS or AI environments, combining empathy, urgency, and technical expertise to keep projects moving
You excel at connecting the dots between customers, engineering, product, and sales — translating business needs into actionable solutions and influencing product direction
You thrive in high-growth, fast-changing environments where ownership matters — energized by ambiguity, new technologies, and the opportunity to wear multiple hats
