Department Manager - Receiving - Burlington, WI

Runnings is a retail company seeking a Department Manager for their Receiving department. The Department Manager will be responsible for unloading truck shipments, distributing merchandise to the sales floor, and providing high levels of customer service while reporting to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate the receipt and distribution of merchandise at the retail store
Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department
Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department
Utilize appropriate receiving procedures to accurately record products received
Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members
Clean & Organize Department
Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers
Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Required

Ability to work an irregular work schedule
Excellent customer service skills required
Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
Long periods of standing
Frequent bending and twisting
Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and forklift use
Ability to work days, nights, and every other weekend

Preferred

High School Diploma
Previous warehouse and forklift experience
Customer Service training and or experience
