Account Manager Equine

The Account Manager Equine will work with veterinarians to promote equine products, manage accounts, resolve customer issues, and maintain relationships to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

Working with other Account Managers, to promote Equine products to veterinarians with the goal of achieving sales growth
Answer incoming calls, managing the set-up of new accounts, maintain relevant information for each account
Contact veterinarians and patients to obtain information necessary to fill prescriptions
Resolve customer issues regarding service, products, delivery and account information in a timely, accurate and professional manner
Coordinates to follow up with sales activities/inquiries that come into the pharmacy
Quotes prices and provides information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates
Provides customers with product information
Develop and manage customer relationships with targeted veterinarians focusing on the promotion of pharmaceutical products
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of equine pharmaceutical products and competitor products to further educate veterinarians and our customers
Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, shipping details and protocols of the pharmacy
Direct phone calls and messages to the appropriate employee or department
Obtain billing information · Continuously update files of veterinarians and patients
Assist in the training of new employees when necessary
Other duties as assigned

Superb Communicator – Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
Bachelor's degree preferred, animal science background a plus
Pharmacy technician experience preferred
Pharmacy Technician License - (current KY license or be eligible to obtain)
1-3 years of customer experience, pharmaceutical sales, or previous professional veterinary care experience desired
Equine industry experience
Demonstrated influencing and selling skills are essential
Strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office
Aptitude for learning technical and scientific product related information
Outstanding communication and organizational skill
