Construction Engineering Technician – Summer Intern
Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc. is a northeast Wisconsin full-service engineering consulting firm specializing in civil and environmental engineering. They are seeking a motivated applicant for a temporary summer intern position to perform construction observation and assist with project drafting/design tasks under professional guidance.

Responsibilities
Perform construction observation of highway and municipal construction projects including bridge painting, grading, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and water mains. Tasks include inspection, materials testing, and record keeping
May perform project drafting/design tasks on highway and municipal projects in accordance with state and federal standards. Tasks include plan preparation using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Work is performed under professional guidance
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in Civil Engineering Technology Program or Bachelor's Degree Program preferred
0-4 years civil engineering experience
Ability to communicate and interact well with clients, agencies, and other staff
Ability to read and interpret maps, plans, construction drawings, specifications, work orders, and shop drawings
Ability to maintain project records in a current and orderly manner
Ability to sit and stand for long periods, and to climb, stoop, squat, crawl, crouch, and bend
Ability to walk through typical construction project sites; climb ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and rough terrain
Ability to carry up to 30 pounds
Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
