Lead Textile Technician
Chumash Enterprises is seeking a Lead Textile Technician responsible for overseeing routine duties of a Textile Technician while leading a team. The role involves ensuring maintenance and cleanliness of carpets and upholstery, training team members, and maintaining safety standards in the work area.

Responsibilities
Leads Team Members to complete tasks in assigned areas
Takes instruction directly from Textile Technician Supervisor and is accountable for the completion of the task
Acts as acting supervisor in the absence of the Textile Technician Supervisor
Assists with the development of new programs that would improve productivity in their assigned area of supervision
Ensures preventive maintenance is completed on machinery after every use
Ensures monthly preventive maintenance is scheduled and on track
Ensures logs are kept up to date and are accurate
Preps carpet, carpet machinery, and related chemicals and equipment for cleaning
Cleans carpets in assigned area using carpet extractor machinery to remove all dirt, stains, chewing gum, etc
Operates, maintains, and repairs carpet extractor machinery, vacuum cleaners, and other cleaning equipment
Cleans upholstery with upholstery cleaning machine; inspects spots to determine composition and proper cleaning method
Transports furniture and chairs to Upholstery Room for maintenance and repair
Operates carpet and upholstery equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with department standards
Protects Team Members and casino guests from the work area during cleaning process by properly clearing and designating the area (i.e. removing furniture, setting up appropriate barricades, etc.)
Coordinates the closing of areas for cleaning and repairs with Casino Operations
During a regular shift, works, cleans, and maintains the areas of responsibility as often as necessary to keep them safe, sanitary, and in neat appearance
Notifies a supervisor when any unsafe, unsanitary, or defective condition is detected
Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate
Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED certificate
Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent work experience
Prior upholstery and carpet cleaning experience or completion of ISSA Custodial Technician course required
Must enroll in Amdecon Crime Scene Certification within first year of employment
Two years prior experience in a textile working and care environment
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency
Native American hiring preference applies
