Responsibilities
Requisitions and Specimen Receipt
Handling and Assessment of Clinical Samples
Properly identify samples and sites where tests are performed
Accurate and timely accession the patient, testing and specimen information into laboratory information system (LIS), and initial troubleshooting of problems
Accurate labeling of samples
Prepare and aliquot send out specimens
Provide customer service to clients, patients, and support within the lab
Qualification
Required
Personal computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
Must be able to assimilate to a changing work environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Exceptional decision-making skills and good judgment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Works well under pressure
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of personnel
Preferred
Bachelors Degree Preferred
