2026 Summer Intern: Developer Quality Assurance
Spectrum is a leading connectivity company providing communication and entertainment products. They are seeking a motivated rising senior student for a summer internship in Developer Quality Assurance, where the intern will work on manual testing and contribute to backend microservices projects.

Responsibilities
Manual Tester that has strong REST API and backend test experience
Our team develops a set of backend microservices working to handle passive processes and manual operations on Spectrum’s Advanced In-Home Wifi router
We are seeking to grow our manual test team as we continue to develop more features
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December 2026 - May 2027
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Strong understanding of REST concepts and API testing
Backend microservice testing experience
End-to-end testing experience
Defect troubleshooting, debugging experience
Strong test documentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Postman, Curl, Swagger
Kafka or message-driven testing (RabbitMQ, Spark, etc)
Commandline-oriented testing, Unix, Mac
Kubernetes understanding and exposure
NoSQL database testing (ElasticsearchDB, MongoDB, etc)
Testrail test documentation software
JIRA/Agile methodology
Java & Spring Boot skills
Experience developing automated tests using Junit/TestNG
AWS exposure
Docker understanding and exposure
