Responsibilities

Accurately input prescription details, including medication names, dosages, and directions, into the pharmacy system

Verify patient and provider information to ensure accuracy and completeness

Review and cross-check prescription data for accuracy and compliance with pharmacy and regulatory guidelines

Identify and report discrepancies or missing information to the appropriate personnel

Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements to protect patient confidentiality

Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and organizational policies

Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and in house team members to resolve prescription issues

Update patient profiles with accurate and current prescription data

Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date digital or physical prescription records

Use pharmacy software systems efficiently to input and retrieve data

Report system errors or technical issues to IT or the appropriate department
