Responsibilities
Prospect for and sell personal and commercial insurance policies for new and existing customers
Create and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers by being professional and efficient in your interactions
Up sell and cross sell existing and prospective customers
Be motivated to aggressively work lead lists, generate a pipeline of prospects, process quotes, update files, follow up when necessary, sell and process insurance applications
Utilize systems properly and efficiently for customer retention, acquisition and compliance
Educate new and existing customers about products offered by the agency
Qualification
Required
Must live locally
Property and Casualty license for the state of New York required
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the insurance industry in sales and/or customer service
Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client base
Have a proven track record of business to business sales success
Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales
Possess strong organizational skills with an ability to complete assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision-making and superior written and verbal communication skills
Have strong time management skills, thrive in a team environment and Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems
Must have a willingness to excel and grow, be open minded and positive
