Responsibilities

Set up for the delivery of the new JV’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and consolidation requirements including creating new processes, procedures and set up of HFM
Lead the delivery of the JV’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and consolidation requirements
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely analysis and reporting to internal and external customers for consolidated financial results on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-requested basis
Develop and maintain a robust understanding of the underlying accounting systems and their interface with the HFM consolidation system including providing regular education to the team and business partners
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, adjust to changing conditions, and/or improve internal controls
Initiate and lead key projects that support the strategic direction of the JV and its partners
Conduct accounting research and provide guidance on technical accounting matters and application of the Corporate Financial Instructions (“CFIs”) to assist the JV in its reporting responsibilities
Coordinate the preparation, review, and dissemination of key reports to internal and external customers
Maintain comprehensive process documentation and policies to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and reliability of the established financial controls
Provide a source of business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to drive financial statement analysis, insights, and actionable recommendations
Provide project leadership to accounting and reporting related initiatives (e.g., adoption of new accounting standards, accounting for acquisitions and divestitures), and other initiatives of the Controller’s Office

Required

10+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience in global multinational corporations is necessary for this position
Ability to assist in the set up of a new department – entrepreneurial mindset
Broad and expert knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and Sarbanes Oxley as well as US GAAP and IFRS
Have a continuous improvement mindset to further the company's program of driving efficiency throughout the financial reporting and consolidation process as well as an adaptable approach to effectively execute through change
“Big 4” accounting firm and US GAAP and IFRS experience
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities / competing time demands and strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective communications and presentations
Possess a think customer orientation to manage leaders' and auditors' expectations, and a continuous improvement mindset to further the company's program of driving efficiency throughout the reporting process
Demonstrate the ability to build trust with key customers and stakeholders and a desire to broaden his/her exposure and knowledge beyond the corporate office
Degree educated with ACA from a big four firm
Knowledge of SAP and HFM required
