Responsibilities
Oversee the migration process from CA/Broadcom tools to alternate products
Ensure the team stays on schedule and follows best practices
Maintain system integrity throughout the project
Monitor the migration process
Coordinate with infrastructure, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless system upgrades and migration readiness
Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and status reporting for enterprise-level transitions
Mentor junior staff on security administration, automation scripting, and configuration management best practices
Qualification
Required
A minimum of fifteen years of experience with RACF and CA ACF2 for mainframe security implementation, user provisioning, access control, and compliance auditing
Expertise in policy management, dataset protection, and cross-domain authentication
Proficient with CA-7 and IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS) for job scheduling, monitoring, and optimization
Skilled in defining job networks, calendars, triggers, and recovery procedures
Deep experience with Endevor and Changeman for code management, software version control, and deployment in production and test environments
Strong understanding of build and promotion life cycles within z/OS development pipelines
Led multiple mainframe migration projects, including tool transitions and modernization initiatives
Skilled in risk assessment, migration planning, tool mapping, and post-migration validation
Served as Team Lead overseeing a team of mainframe system programmers and application support specialists
Coordinated with infrastructure, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless system upgrades and migration readiness
Managed project timelines, resource allocation, and status reporting for enterprise-level transitions
Mentored junior staff on security administration, automation scripting, and configuration management best practices
Platform: IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, SDSF, SMP/E
Tools: RACF, ACF2, CA-7, IZWS, Endevor, Changeman; CMOD, ODF, CA view and Dispatch
Languages: REXX, T, JCL, COBOL (familiarity)
