Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations and strategy for the company and its business units
Lead construction financial management: job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion, retention billing, and backlog/margin monitoring
Drive financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
Manage cash flow, assets, and financial planning to support business growth
Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team to prepare future leaders
Collaborate closely with operations, project managers, and executive leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and owner on financial decision-making
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial statements to leadership
Build relationships with bonding, insurance, and financial partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including construction industry experience
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, cost of goods sold, and percentage-of-completion accounting
Proven track record leading and developing accounting teams
Experience with advanced Excel/data analytics
Confident communicator with the ability to partner effectively across departments
