Senior Analyst, Tax - US Income Tax Compliance

Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state tax returns, forms, and reporting of operations by gathering financial data from business departments and divisions; analyze and incorporate data into returns, prepare work papers and supporting schedules, and leverage professional tax software to process financial and tax data
Prepare federal and state tax estimates on a quarterly basis, or as needed
Support tax accounting and reporting by preparing year-end provision calculations and assisting with SOX 404 documentation for tax accounting controls
Partner with the tax controversy team by assisting with gathering information leading to issue resolutions within established timelines; work with management to respond to information requisitions, prepare data and reports to support state audit projects, and escalate potential exposure items to management
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by keeping current on changes in tax law; research and provide analysis on impacts of federal legislative matters and identify and develop needed system or process changes to remain compliant with tax laws
Support tax department training and development initiatives by assisting with team training sessions
Influence tax compliance transformation by identifying and implementing tools that allow for continuous improvement and efficiency; adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilize and support the Open Door Policy and provide direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices
Assist with special projects as necessary
Qualification
Required
You have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
You have a strong understanding of federal and state income tax laws
You have a passion for learning and developing skills in a fast-paced environment
You have experience with MS Office, tax & accounting software, and/or other data analytics tools
You operate with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and collaboration
You anticipate and raise issues, solve problems, and recommend solutions
You can think cross-functionally and understand impacts across multiple groups
You thrive in an agile environment and can handle multiple tasks within tight timelines
You are a clear and influential communicator across all levels
